During our conversation with Ms. Aditi Sinha, we discovered a lot. She has acted as a mentor and constant role model for many young girls. She explained to us how women, particularly in nations like India, do not have the same access to educational resources as the majority of men in that country. You can probably think of any large corporation and it is most likely to be led by a man. There is a glaring representational gap. “Tackle the bias at the base,” is her advice for the same. This gap can be closed by very early exposure to education and STEM-related fields. Even at the current company that she works in, out of 14 people only 2 are women including herself, which is really disheartening. She continued by discussing the importance of women supporting one another in order to close the gender gap. Women can establish a safe space at work. They can accomplish this by highlighting each other’s viewpoints and granting them credit for doing so.
She also discussed how diversity training at work can prepare people for leadership positions. All genders are taught to be respectful and inclusive, including men, and a safe environment is created for all employees.
Additionally, the gender pay gap is very real. In these situations, women who offer mentorship and guidance are crucial in assisting a person in realising their value and advocating for it.
Ms. Sinha also discussed a number of AI innovations, such as ChatGPT, that can be useful to us in our daily lives.
She counsels having a healthy work-life balance, strong emotional intelligence, and the ability to “lead with vulnerability.”
“There is a call for having equality in female leadership roles,” she said in conclusion. We and ma’am aim to reduce it!
“Innovation happens because of the diversity of problems and opinions! ”
